Onishi Gallery proudly presents “Water from heaven” by NATSU. Living in New York City, NATSU channels the energy of a metropolis to evoke acts of nature. The artist describes the act of stringing beads to prayer and contemplation. Materials such as beads stream through the air.
Colorful beads leave trails between the sky and earth. NATSU explains the link between heaven and earth as an impression of a meeting place. She wants viewers to become aware of temporal and spatial connections with the universe through her creation. There are no defining edges or borders. Droplets of water emerge. Plastic wire weaves paths for beads to suspend in motion. The result is a rainfall.
NATSU exhibits widely between New York, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. In 2006, she has participated in the DUMBO Arts Festival. During the spring of 2007, she is anticipating a solo-exhibition at Onishi Gallery.

太陽の光を浴びた大地の水は、空高く舞い昇り
氷の結晶となって天の雲を創る。
そしてその雨に似た天からの祈りが再び大地へと降りそそぐ。
